Song: Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams
Written by Billy Moll, Harry Barris, Tod Koehler'When skies are cloudy and grey, they`re only grey for a day, so wrap your troubles in dreams And Dream Your Troubles Away.' So sang crooner Bing Crosby at one of his earliest recording sessions for Victor Records in 1931. WRAP YOUR TROUBLES IN DREAMS became an anthem for the Great Depression and probably for the recently jailed Al Capone. Originally released as the B side of Crosby`s first solo hit single "Just A Gigolo", it climbed to No. 4 on the popular record charts. The song was also a hit for Erskine Hawkins in 1942 and has been recorded by many vocal stars, such as Frank Sinatra, Kate Smith, Louis Armstrong and Tony Bennett.
