The tune, written by Chris Barbosa and Ed Chisolm, climbed to No. 8 on the pop charts early the following year and was the No.1 dance record for six weeks. This success was repeated in most European countries. In 1993 Carroll Thompson recorded a version that was used in the legendary movie "The Crying Game." And in 1996 Mary Kiani recorded a version that topped the dance charts in in the UK.
