I LOVE MY BABY (MY BABY LOVES ME) was a Top 10 hit for two acts in 1926: Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians, whose recording climbed to No. 6, and vocalist Aileen Stanley, whose version reached No. 10. Blues singer Ruby Lane performed the song in the 1959 musical film Drum Crazy (The Gene Krupa Story). I Love My Baby (My Baby Loves Me) also appeared in the film and on the soundtrack album for the 1978 mystery Death on the Nile and Woody Allen's 1985 movie the Purple Rose of Cairo.
