Country stars Bill Anderson and Jon Howard teamed up in 1967 to record Steve
Karliski's song FOR LOVING YOU [performance by Bill Anderson and Jan Howard] . The record shot straight to the top of the country charts and stayed at No. I for four weeks. The next year Skeeter Davis and Don Bowman also had a country hit with the song.
