LORD (LAWD), YOU MADE THE NIGHT TOO LONG [performance by Louis Armstrong] was a Top 20 hit for both
jazz giant Louis Armstrong (heard in the Shapiro Bernstein catalog) and bandleader Guy Lombardo in 1932. A parody, entitled "Sam, You Made The Pants Too Long" was written
by Milton Berle in 1940 and recorded by both Vaughn Monroe and Barbra Streisand.
